Our Principals

W. Lane Pennington is the founder of Pennington Allen Capital Partners and its predecessor, Whiterock Affiliates. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of International Wire Group, Inc. (ITWG.PK), an $800 million manufacturer and distributor of copper wire products. IWG was formerly a portfolio company of the private investment firm HM Capital Partners, formerly Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst, and now is publicly registered and controlled by Tennenbaum Capital Partners and GSC Partners. Mr. Pennington also serves as a management affiliate for HM Capital Partners, Tennenbaum Capital Partners and GSC Partners and advises these firms and others on potential transactions and on the management and operations of certain of their portfolio companies. Prior to founding Whiterock Capital Partners, Mr. Pennington was the president of Lennox Worldwide Heat Transfer and an executive vice president of Lennox International Inc (NYSE: LII) and the president of Hilti Asia Pacific and executive vice president of Hilti International Corporation, with extensive experience in North America, Asia, Latin America and Europe.

Mark H. Allen joined Pennington Allen Capital Partners in August of 2006. For the past seven years, Mr. Allen has held senior executive positions with media and technology companies and has consummated numerous substantial acquisitions, product distribution and licensing transactions. Most recently, Mr. Allen was an executive vice president for OpenTV (NASDAQ:OPTV), a technology company with its headquarters in San Francisco, and which is controlled by Liberty Media (NYSE:L). Immediately prior to joining OpenTV, Mr. Allen was Executive Vice President of Business Development for a special purpose entity owned by Liberty Media formed to accomplish a roll up in the interactive television sector and these efforts ultimately led to three public companies and one private company being combined into OpenTV. Prior to joining Liberty, from September of 1999 through May 2002, Mr. Allen was the president of the U.S. sales unit and an executive vice president of Gemstar TV Guide International, Inc. (NASDA:GMST).
